Non-porous poly(Methyl Methacrylate) PMMA particles are functionalized with carboxyl groups via a long-chain polymer bridge covalently linked to the surface of PMMA particles and the green fluorophores (Excitation 415–480 nm, Emission 470–550 nm) are incorporated into the particles during the polymerization process. These carboxyl microparticles are suitable for EDC/NHS coupling of amine-containing molecules.
